"I’ve known Melissa and Dagobah Dobermans for 13 years. In 2008, after meeting and speaking with numerous other breeders I found myself sitting at Melissa’s kitchen table. Although it was our first meeting it was like visiting with an old friend. She happily answered all of my questions and asked me many of her own. We went through her pedigree book together, which was fascinating, and I was able to meet her dogs who were an absolute delight.

At that time, I was new to the Doberman breed. The fact that Melissa uses the puppy aptitude test in conjunction with her wealth of breed knowledge and the information gathered from would be puppy parents to match each pup to an appropriate home is just awesome. A few months later I met my Shelby, my heart dog, an absolute dream come true and love of my life. A short time later my sweet Max, my handsome, magnificent angel with an old soul and a heart of gold.

Fast forward to October 2020 and I welcome my 3rd Dagobah baby Vera, my sassy diva, my little worker bee. These dogs grab you by the heart strings and never let go and Melissa is right there with you for the entire ride, offering help and support. You become family. She pours her heart and soul into every litter, breeding for health and temperament with the dogs’ best interest always top priority. Even after the pups go home, she is available to answer questions, give advice, share in your pride with each new accomplishment and when the day comes to cross the bridge she shares in your heartache as well.

This is not a commodity; this is a pure passion. If you look to the AKC for “what to look for in a breeder”, I assure you, Melissa’s checks every box and then some. She goes above and beyond in giving these pups the absolute best start to a life of love and success. She has a personal bond with each one of them and it shows. I cannot say enough about Melissa and Dagobah Dobermans. If you are serious about a new best friend, look no further"
